Development & Engineering
WordPress for startups
Startup WordPress sites built for positioning, hiring, and the next raise — not a five-page brochure that cannot grow.
Early teams need a credible site before they need a custom application. Weblexia builds WordPress for startups that must explain the product, collect demand, and hire — with templates marketing can extend when the deck changes, without rebuilding the stack every quarter.

01 — What we build
What this engagement covers
01
Positioning websites
Home, product, and proof templates that survive a positioning rewrite without a new theme.
02
Launch and hiring surfaces
Careers, waitlist, and campaign landing pages as CMS patterns — not one-off HTML.
03
A publishing system you can keep
Editor training and a plugin list that matches a small team, not an enterprise toolkit.
02 — What's included
In a typical statement of work
- Sitemap and template list for an early-stage site
- WordPress theme or governed builder implementation
- CMS fields for product, team, and proof
- Forms and analytics on the paths that matter
- Performance baseline on home and product
- Launch, redirects if replacing a site, and editor notes
03 — Process
How the work actually runs
- 01
Publishing and operations
Who edits the site, which pages actually convert, and which plugins or CRMs you intend to keep. WordPress scope is decided here — not after a theme is half built.
- 02
Information architecture
Templates, navigation, and a content model marketing can extend. Builder versus Gutenberg is a written choice, not a mix of three tools.
- 03
Theme and CMS build
Templates first, then content patterns, then integrations. Performance and editor training are part of the same pass.
- 04
Launch and handover
Staging sign-off, redirects, analytics, and notes on what is safe to edit. The CMS is not left as a surprise on go-live day.
05 — Why Weblexia
How we partner on this work
01
A CMS the team will still use
WordPress fails when editors inherit a theme they cannot touch. We design templates and fields around how you actually publish.
02
One implementation path
Gutenberg, Elementor, or a custom theme — specified. Mixing builders is how WordPress sites rot; we will not ship that as a convenience.
03
Plugins as architecture
Forms, CRM, booking, and SEO plugins are contracted against performance and support. We document what you are expected to keep.
04
Performance as acceptance
Core templates are measured. A marketing site that looks finished and loads in four seconds is not done.
Partnership signal
What happens when you reach out
A senior lead reads your context before the first conversation — not a script, not a junior qualifier. If we are not the right fit, we say so plainly.
Qualified inquiries receive a written response within two business days — often with a proposed discovery shape, not a generic rate card.
06 — Capabilities
What we typically implement
- Startup marketing sites
- CMS governance
- Landing templates
- Integrations
- WordPress
- PHP
- Gutenberg
- ACF
- Elementor
Investment
Productized economics
Published ranges and tiers orient the conversation — final statements of work reflect your stack, traffic, and risk profile after a short consultation.
Starting from — scoped after discovery
- WordPress and redesign engagements are priced after we see the Figma file, the current stack, and who will edit the site. We do not publish a single starter fee because plugin debt, WooCommerce, and template count change the work.
- Consultation produces a written scope: deliverables, assumptions, and a timeline you can take to finance. See engagement models on the pricing hub.
09 — FAQs
Questions we are asked before a proposal
Is WordPress the right stack this early?
Often yes for marketing, hiring, and content. If you are building the product UI in the same codebase, that is a different conversation. We will not force the application into WordPress because the marketing site lives there.
Can we move to Webflow or a custom stack later?
Yes. We structure content and URLs so a later move is possible. We will not over-engineer a headless stack for a five-page launch unless you already have that constraint.
How is this different from a generic business website?
Startup sites change positioning, team, and proof weekly. Templates and fields are built for that tempo. A professional-services brochure is a different content model — see WordPress for professional services.
Next step
Discuss your startup WordPress site with the team that ships it.
Share the current site, the Figma file, or the outcome you need. A senior lead replies with a realistic path — discovery, a scoped WordPress build, or a clear decline if we are not the right fit.
