Shopify migration

Move the catalog, the URLs, and the operations — not just a CSV of products.

We migrate stores onto Shopify with an inventory of products, customers, redirects, and apps. Cutover includes a rehearsal. Theme work is scoped separately if the destination storefront is not a default theme.

01 — What we build

What this engagement covers

  1. 01

    Platform migrations

WooCommerce, Magento, and other carts onto Shopify with URL mapping.

  2. 02

    Shopify-to-Shopify rebuilds

New theme or org with data preserved.

  3. 03

    App replacement plans

What the old stack did with plugins, mapped to Shopify apps or custom work.

02 — What's included

In a typical statement of work

  • Data and URL inventory
  • Product and customer migration plan
  • Redirect map
  • Checkout and payment review
  • Staging store
  • Cutover window

03 — Process

How the work actually runs

  1. 01

    Inventory

URLs, content types, redirects, apps or plugins, and what must survive the move versus what should be retired.

  2. 02

    Target architecture

Theme, CMS, and integration plan on the destination platform — written before content is copied at scale.

  3. 03

    Migration

Content, media, customers or products as applicable, with staging parity checks against the live site.

  4. 04

    Cutover

DNS, redirects, analytics, and a rollback note. We do not treat launch day as an experiment.

05 — Why Weblexia

How we partner on this work

  • 01

Senior delivery, not a handoff chain

A lead who can read the design file, the CMS, and the production constraints owns the work. You are not queued behind a sales layer and a junior build team.

  • 02

    Fidelity with maintainability

Pixel accuracy matters. So does what happens after launch — editors, merchandisers, and future campaigns should be able to work without breaking the system.

  • 03

    Performance treated as a requirement

Core Web Vitals, caching, and asset discipline are part of acceptance — not a follow-up project after the site looks finished.

  • 04

    Clear scope before engineering spend

We write assumptions, exclusions, and a definition of done. If we are not the right studio, we say so before you commit.

Partnership signal

What happens when you reach out

A senior lead reads your context before the first conversation — not a script, not a junior qualifier. If we are not the right fit, we say so plainly.

Qualified inquiries receive a written response within two business days — often with a proposed discovery shape, not a generic rate card.

09 — FAQs

Questions we are asked before a proposal

Can you migrate from WooCommerce to Shopify?

Yes. Products, customers, and historical orders are scoped by what Shopify will accept and what you legally need to retain. We do not pretend every Woo plugin has a Shopify twin.

Will checkout look the same?

Shopify checkout is a platform surface. We improve what Plus and checkout extensibility allow. A pixel-perfect copy of a custom Woo checkout is often not possible; we say that in discovery.

Next step

Discuss your Shopify migration with the team that ships it.

Share the Figma file, the current site, or the outcome you need. A senior lead replies with a realistic path — discovery, a scoped build, or a clear decline if we are not the right fit.
