Ecommerce development for Australian brands
Ecommerce for Australian brands — platform chosen against operations, not against an agency landing page.
Australian brands need a cart that matches shipping, tax setup, and who merchandises. Weblexia builds ecommerce remotely: Shopify for most DTC, WooCommerce when WordPress must own the catalog. We write the recommendation. We do not implement both 'just in case'.

01 — What we build
What this engagement covers
01
Platform recommendation in writing
Shopify vs WooCommerce vs a decline if neither fits.
02
Storefronts operators can run
Catalog, PDP, cart, and campaign templates.
03
Launch with AU overlap
Rehearsal, redirects, and notes for the team in your timezone.
02 — What's included
In a typical statement of work
- Commerce brief and platform decision
- Catalog model
- Storefront through checkout on the agreed stack
- App or plugin discipline
- Performance on product templates
- Launch against AEST/AEDT
03 — Process
How the work actually runs
- 01
Market and operations
Who publishes, which market you sell into, and how we will run overlap with AEST/AEDT. Remote delivery is stated in writing — we do not pretend a Sydney office exists.
- 02
Architecture
Templates, CMS or catalog, and platform choice before visual polish. GST, shipping, and payments are treated as constraints you own with your accountant — not as theme features.
- 03
Build
Implementation on Shopify, WordPress, Webflow, or WooCommerce as scoped. Performance on the templates that take Australian traffic is part of the same pass.
- 04
Launch against your clock
Staging sign-off, redirects, analytics, and a cutover window that respects your morning — not only ours.
05 — Why Weblexia
How we partner on this work
01
Remote, not a fake local shopfront
Weblexia serves Australian teams without pretending we have a Pitt Street office. Overlap hours, written scope, and a senior lead you can actually reach.
02
Platform as a decision
Shopify, WordPress, Webflow, or WooCommerce is chosen against how you sell and publish — not against a directory listing.
03
Operators can run it
CMS, sections, and merchandising are built for the people in your timezone who will ship campaigns after handover.
04
No invented local proof
Selected work shows craft. We will not fabricate Australian logos. If we are not the right fit, we say so.
Partnership signal
What happens when you reach out
A senior lead reads your context before the first conversation — not a script, not a junior qualifier. If we are not the right fit, we say so plainly.
Qualified inquiries receive a written response within two business days — often with a proposed discovery shape, not a generic rate card.
06 — Capabilities
What we typically implement
- Platform choice
- Storefronts
- Checkout-adjacent
- AU remote delivery
- Shopify
- WooCommerce
- WordPress

09 — FAQs
Questions we are asked before a proposal
Are you based in Australia?
No. Weblexia is a remote studio at weblexia.in. We work with Australia teams over overlap hours, written scope, and a senior lead. If you require staff in-country every week, we are not the right fit — we will say that in the first conversation.
Shopify or WooCommerce for AU?
Shopify for most DTC. WooCommerce when editorial and catalog share WordPress. B2B and wholesale rules may tilt Woo. We recommend from the ruleset.
Do you handle GST in the cart?
We implement the tax settings and apps you already use. GST registration and advice are yours. We will not publish tax rates we are not authorised to set.
Next step
Discuss your Australian ecommerce build with the team that ships it.
Share the current site, the Figma file, or the outcome you need. A senior lead replies with a realistic path — discovery, a scoped build, or a clear decline if a local on-site team is what you actually need.
